Untying the knots for local council

We were asked to promote the new customer care service by Nottinghamshire County Council, which has been set up as a one-stop shop for Nottinghamshire residents. We are currently promoting their new Customer Service Centre to a wide range of demographics with a highly targeted campaign across a diverse range of media.
This is a brand new building, housing 80 specialist staff who deal with customers from across Nottinghamshire, providing information and solutions to their problems about council services. The main messages we have communicated include: excellence and authority of the service, as well as the open, responsive and professional attitude of its staff.
At L&P, we created a humorous pun, based on the experience many callers had of being “tied in knots” when they call customer service staff at large organisations. The strapline “in Notts?” precisely targets the local audience and refers to the general confusion over who customers need to speak to at large organisations to solve their problems.
