Excitement is building as November approaches and we’re eagerly waiting the decision whether Nottinghamshire has been successful in securing a lottery grant of up to £50m.
The BIG Lottery Fund aims to encourage the improvement of areas where people live; Nottingham’s bid involves the regeneration of Sherwood Forest and the creation of a stunning new visitors centre as well as significant extension of public pathways around the area.
The proposed project has already been selected alongside five other propositions out of an original 300 applicants, but it will be up to the public to decide which deserves to win. So let’s keep our fingers crossed and vote for Robin!
The Sherwood Forest bid focuses around the website robinhood.co.uk, which has been created and managed by L&P.
Internet voting will open at 9am on Monday 26th November until 12 noon on Monday 10th December at www.thepeoples50million.org.uk with phone lines open from 9am Friday 7th December until 12 noon Monday 10th December.
