A new look Lawrence & Pierce website has been launched with a more up-to-date design, showcasing the Nottingham-based marketing agency’s philosophy, design and clients.
Newark Beacon is a guiding light for new businesses

Construction of the state-of-the-art business innovation centre, the Newark Beacon, has been completed. The £3.9m project was organized by the Newark and Sherwood District Council, in partnership with several other local businesses, in order to encourage the development and growth of new businesses in the area. Newark Beacon is based on Beacon Hill, which overlooks the town and boasts office and workshop space as well as conference and café facilities.
Lawrence & Pierce were chosen to create the brand identity and website of the centre and produce all the marketing collateral.
The first tenants – Niddocks Internet Solutions – moved in on July 2nd 2007 shortly after construction was completed. They were soon followed by other companies whose services range from business-based language training to website design.
On September 13th Theo Paphitis, the business entrepreneur and star of TV show Dragon’s Den, officially opened the centre and commented “…centres such as Newark Beacon are an invaluable asset to start-up and young businesses... I wish the centre and businesses based here all the very best for the future”. This centre encourages the progression of local business and it will be interesting to watch these companies realise their potential.
