Nottingham-based marketing agency, Lawrence & Pierce, is celebrating after First, one of their major clients, was named a Superbrand for 2007.
This is recognition for the years of planning and effort that have turned the transport organisation from a newly formed company into a huge, influential brand. L&P have played a major part in this success by initially creating First’s corporate identity, working for 12 years to help develop the profile and seeing it implemented.
Martin Lord, Lawrence & Pierce’s Managing Director spoke of their involvement with First’s branding: “This is an impressive reward for all the hard work that has gone into building the First brand. They are a dynamic and exciting company to work with and we look forward to taking their brand even further in the future.”
A council of marketing experts and consumers selected First as a Superbrand from thousands of British organisations. The transport operator has been identified alongside well-known, household names like Yellow Pages, Nokia and BBC.
“This truly is a tremendous accolade and one with which we are particularly thrilled. That said, we recognise the challenge ahead in ensuring that First continues to be considered a global and powerful brand”, said Avril Gill, FirstGroup’s Brand Manager.
